K2 and the Boltoro Glacier
Above is a panorama composed of several slides taken at Concordia. It is slowly rotating; clicking the curly arrow will stop this. You can drag around with the mouse and zoom in and out with the controls. Click the right most button for a full screen view.
All these photos were taken on a World Expeditions trek to The Karokoram in August 2001.
We met in Lahore, a city with much of interest, then flew to Islamabad, where we had a tour of the city. Then it was by bus for two days to Skardu and the famous K2 Motel. From here it was a day in a jeep to Tongol where the walking started. Our route took us up the Braldu Valley to Piaju and the start of the Baltoro Glacier. From here it was up the glacier to Concordia, which was as far as I got due to a bad cold. Most of the group went over the Gondogoro La and out via Hushe. It is a lasting regret that I never did this section.
Below is a video photo show of some of my slides.
Beneath is a Google Map of the trek route.
